OCF Project & Commercial Management played a crucial role in completing and closing the Old Bray Hotel Development by acting as the Assigned Certifier. Our focus was on ensuring that the project complied fully with the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BCAR) and all necessary procedures related to the Building Control Management System (BCMS).
As the Assigned Certifier, OCF was responsible for overseeing and coordinating the compliance process to ensure the project met all statutory building regulations before completion. Our duties included managing the inspection schedule throughout the final stages of construction, carrying out site inspections, and liaising closely with the construction team to ensure that all work complied with the relevant building standards.
We also played a key role in verifying that all stages of construction were properly documented and aligned with BCAR requirements. This involved ensuring that all parties involved in the construction, including contractors and designers, adhered to the required regulatory framework. OCF managed the submission of necessary compliance documents to the BCMS, ensuring all certifications were correctly filed and recorded to facilitate a smooth handover process.
Through a meticulous approach to compliance and a deep understanding of the BCAR and BCMS systems, OCF ensured that the development was delivered with full regulatory certification, providing stakeholders and future residents with confidence in the safety and quality of the new apartments.
