OCF recently fulfilled a key role as Project Monitor for residential development in Dublin, involving the construction of two bespoke houses with a total project value of €1,595,000.00. As project monitors, our focus was on safeguarding the interests of stakeholders by providing expert oversight, transparent reporting, and risk management throughout every phase of the development.
Our responsibilities in this role included:
- Regular Progress Assessments – We conducted on-site inspections and detailed reviews to ensure that work progressed according to plan, quality standards, and within the agreed timeline.
- Cost Monitoring and Budget Control – Our team closely monitored all costs, ensuring that spending aligned with budget expectations and that value was maximised at each stage. This included a thorough review of invoices, change orders, and budget updates.
- Risk Management and Mitigation – Identifying potential risks early, we provided proactive solutions to avoid delays or budget overruns. Our approach included assessing compliance with regulatory standards and managing any issues with site conditions or planning requirements.
- Stakeholder Reporting – We delivered regular, comprehensive reports to keep stakeholders informed of the project’s status, including financial and timeline updates, key milestones, and any potential risks.
- Quality Assurance – As part of our monitoring, we ensured that all construction met high-quality standards and adhered to the agreed specifications, thus preserving the long-term value and integrity of the development.
